Why should I study in Australia?
Australia offers globally recognized programs and is a popular destination for international students. The courses are often shorter and more affordable compared to other top countries. Australian universities incorporate the latest tools and technologies, ensuring high educational standards. Additionally, students can work 20 hours a week while studying, with job opportunities available in various fields such as agriculture, data analysis, digital marketing, aeronautics, software development, commercial analysis, and cybersecurity.
Australia provides bachelor degrees and postgraduate courses on-campus. The Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) distinguishes its education system from many other countries. International students can access a range of scholarships. The academic year typically starts in late January or early February for secondary schools, while undergraduate and postgraduate courses usually begin in March, depending on the specific course.
To obtain an Australian Student Visa, you must meet the Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) requirement, financial requirements, English proficiency requirements, and health and character requirements. The GTE requirement assesses your intention to stay in Australia temporarily for education. Factors such as your family’s economic situation, political or civil unrest, and military service commitments in your home country are considered. The application for the Student Visa (Subclass 500) is available online, with a current fee of AU$620 (~US$420).
You can start applying to Australian universities around August-September. Before applying, you should take your general exam and English language proficiency test. A minimum test score is required, such as 5.5 in IELTS, 46 in TOEFL iBT, 162 in CAE: advanced, 42 in PTE, and Pass (A or B) in OET (Occupational English Test).
